Glasgow opened the scoring with RB Andy
Hall going in from 12 yards for the TD. With the 2Pat incomplete the scores remained the same until the middle of the second
quarter. Loughborough DB Jay Cordingley charged down a Tigers punt and ran the ball back 25 yards for the score. With Andy
Studer hitting the PAT Loughborough had a narrow lead approaching halftime but with the last play of the half Tigers QB Matt
McCusker found WR Matt McCree on a deep pass to score a 30yd TD, the 2PAT was missed.
With the Tigers receiving the kickoff at the start of the third
quarter they managed to hammer home their advantage, Kenny McPhail returning the ball 80 yards for the TD. With the 2PAT again
missed the Tigers had a 18-7 advantage. The Aces Offense responded quickly with RB Craig Flower going over with a 6 yard run
followed by a 2PAT catch from Richard Cole. Flower added another 8-yard run but with the PAT being batted down the Aces now
had a 3 point lead. The Tigers could not peg back the difference in the 4th managing to bring the gap down to one on a safety
but the Aces secondary held their nerve to repel the Tigers final drives. |
