The Tigers started off the new BCAFL season with a comfortable win against the Newcastle Raiders.
After being put into an early lead courtesy of the boot of Grant, the Tigers were soon 10 - 0 up after McCusker added a touchdown
which was converted by Grant for his second goal of the day.
Into the third quarter and another TD from McCusker and a Field Goal from Grant had the Tigers 19
points clear going into the final quarter. Newcastle fought back and claimed a score which was then converted to put some
pride back on their faces. McPhail had time to get his name on the score sheet and ran in a touchdown to which Grant added
the extra point to leave the score at 26 - 8 to the Tigers.
